Architectural drawings documenting ten projects of the practice of the Montreal architect John Smith Archibald are found in this subfonds along with photographs and postcards assembled by Archibald and his associates.
Includes:
"Architectural Drawings, 1917-30, 132 drawings." Ten projects are represented in this archive including additions and alterations to the Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa, Queen's University Athletic Building in Kingston, ON and Montreal buildings such as the Masonic Temple, the Ecole Technique de Montreal and the Windsor Hotel.
"Photographs, n.d." Photographs of Italian and French architecture including interiors, exteriors, and details, a photograph of a R.C.M.P. Garage in Montreal, and photographs of American public buildings assembled by Archibald and his associates, are found in the archive.
"Postcards, n.d." Included is a collection of postcards illustrating Italian and French architecture (exteriors, interiors, and details of buildings) assembled by Archibald and his associates.

"Architectural Drawings, 1856-95, 18 drawings." Included are two drawings of designs by Hopkins, Lawford and Nelson for the Old Post Office in Kingston, ON. Drawings by Hopkins and Hopkins include designs for houses in Montreal and Ste. Anne-de-Bellevue, PQ and drawings of the Harbour Commissioner's Building in Montreal.

"Dessins architecturaux, 1856-1895, 18 dessins." Notamment, deux dessins des plans réalisés par Hopkins, Lawford et Nelson pour le Vieux Bureau de poste de Kingston (Ontario). Au nombre des dessins réalisés par Hopkins et Hopkins, signalons diverses maisons de Montréal et de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue (Québec) et des dessins de l'immeuble du Commissaire du havre de Montréal.

"Architectural Drawings, n.d., 3 drawings." An elevation of an entrance gate for the Mount Royal Cemetery, a perspective of the Church of St. James the Apostle and a proposal for an exhibition building, all in Montreal, comprise the CAC's holdings of the work of Lawford and Nelson.

This file contains a folder of documents related to the 1933 renovations of the Molson Stadium, including correspondence between Sir Arthur Currie and Vernon R. Davies, and several pages of notes, diagrams, and architectural drawings.

The archives contains at this time an estimated 20 000 plans and drawings, 600 presentation boards, 500 loose sketches, 60 sketchbooks, 600 boxes of projects and office files, 80 models, 200 computer diskettes, and a representative collection of slides, photographic prints, audio-visual material, as well as a bibliographic file of primary and secondary literature. Materials are in the process of being accessioned and described.

Le fonds contient présentement environ 20 000 plans et dessins, 600 panneaux de présentation, 500 croquis, 60 carnets de croquis, 600 boîtes de dossiers de projets et de bureau, 80 maquettes, 200 disquettes d'ordinateur, une collection de diapositives représentative de son oeuvre, des photographies, du matériel audio-visuel et des dossiers bibliographiques de sources primaires et secondaires. Le matériel est en train d'être dépouillé mais n'a pas encore été décrit.

"Architectural Drawings, 1889, 4 drawings." Included is a perspective of a commercial building for B. A. Boas on Ste. Catherine Street in Montreal and a plan and a perspective for a proposal for a general hospital in Sherbrooke, PQ.
