The first scrapbook contains mostly British Medical Journal clippings (1942-1954). The other two scrapbooks document C. P. Martin’s personal family life (including family trees depicting five generations, leisurely interests etc.) as well as his professional life, including many newspaper clippings about McGill University and faculty.

The scrapbooks contain notes, patient prescription information, reprints of various publications by MacDonnell, and lots of news clippings concerning various topics such as the history of Montreal, McGill University, the McGill faculty, Montreal General Hospital, and obituary notices
Series A contains Dr. Elliott’s research notebooks from his association with Selwyn College, Cambridge, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Montreal Neurological Institute. Some of this research was collaborative. Most of the series comprises research relating to the study of brain trauma as a result of head injury or neurosurgery.
