Letter to Henry Pickering Bowditch from Stanford E. Chaillé, Narragansett Pier, Rhode Island, USA. Chaillé regrets that he was not able to meet with Bowditch about the International Medical Congress. He comments on the "New" Committee's decision to replace Bowditch with himself. Although his friends and colleagues, Dr. Richardson and Dr. Davis have urged him to take the position, Chaillé would rather decline the offer. He asks Bowditch to inform Drs. Folsom and Chadwick about this situation.
