Arrangement

This series is arranged into three subseries which roughly represent: Osler's childhood and early career in Canada (Cushing 1); his years in Philadelphia and Baltimore (Cushing 2); and the Oxford period (Cushing 3). Files within the subseries are arranged chronologically according to years in Osler's life. The folders were previously rearranged slightly to correct apparent errors in filing, as it was obviously intended that the filing be strictly chronologically. One exception, a folder labelled simply "Letters to W. O. from Johnson and Bovell" was placed near the head of the file beside other folders labelled "Johnson" and "Bovell" but with the addition of the corresponding year.
