    Scope and content

Letter to Harvey Cushing from Susan Revere Chapin, Royal Victoria Hotel, Swanage, Dorset, England. Acknowledgment of his letter. Thankful for his answer that none of their special friends were injured. Repeats that it is a comfort for the Oslers to think that he was with Revere at the end. Mentions that she tried to write him a note to express her feelings but feels inadequate. The Oslers are wonderful, talk about Revere constantly, reminisce about Cushing with Revere together at this place. Osler seems to be shrinking away and Grace looks sad. Reflections about the death.
