Rev. Richard Whitmore Norman was born on April 24, 1829, in Bromley, Kent, England.
He was a clergyman. He studied theology at Exeter College, Oxford University (B.A., 1851; M.A., 1853) and was ordained deacon in 1852 and priest in 1853. He was a Fellow of St. Peter's College, Radley, England. In 1866, he immigrated to Montreal, Quebec. He served in Holy Trinity Cathedral in Quebec City (1894). He also served as Vice-Chancellor and Examiner of the University of Bishop's College, Lennoxville, Quebec. He published several Christian sermons and religious texts, e.g., "Occasional Sermons" (1860) and "Sermons Preached in the Chapel of the St. Peter's College, Radley" (1864).
He died on March 1, 1906, in Toronto, Ontario.
