Diplomas

This sub-subseries contains a selection of Sharma’s degrees. This includes the encased Masters in Economics from Syracuse University, 1970; an untranslated Latin note from Harvard related to Sharma’s status; Bachelor of Arts from Allahabad University, 1958; two higher secondary education certificates, dated 18 January 1955 and 3 June 1956, respectively; a Civil Defense Staff certificate from the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India, 15 April 1963; and a PhD diploma in Sanskrit and Indian Studies from Harvard, 1978.

Proposals and ideas

This sub-subseries documents rejected proposals and ideas for various projects and includes funding requests; proposals for books, research, courses, journals, conferences; and prospectuses.

Maps

The sub-subseries consists of twenty miscellaneous geological maps, charts, and plans of Egypt, Sinai Peninsula, Rome, Manitoba, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, the eastern part of British North America, Snake River, Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, St. Lawrence River, Cumberland Coal Field, North Pole, and Pictou Harbour. Maps are both printed and hand-drawn.

Cree cassettes for C.D. Ellis texts

Sub-series consists of 32 cassettes, recorded between 1955 and the end of the 1970s, created to accompany the Cree language course developed by C. Douglas Ellis. First published in 1962, the course was revised and reissued in 3 volumes in 2000. Tapes correspond to lessons in Spoken Cree: Level I and Spoken Cree: Level II. Instruction is in the N-Dialect, or Swampy Cree, spoken on the west coast of James Bay. Guidelines for applying lessons to the L-Dialect are given in audio.
