Correspondence and typed transcritps

Typed transcripts of incoming and outgoing correspondence and one news paper article. Majority of the letters are on the topic of westward expansion/protection, Canadian confederation, interaction with and displacement of Indigenous groups, and life and politics in the mid 19th century. Autobiographical notes, volume I

File contains one bound notebook whereon John McDonald has written notes and a brief history about his life and work. This volume comprises 113 pages covering the years 1791-1805.

File contains a series of outgoing correspondence written by James McGill between 1802-1807. Several documents also feature the signature of Isaac Todd. These letters were sent to, among others:

File contains a hand-written copy of the last Will and Testament of James McGill [1812] including inserts and probate.

Miscellaneous correspondence

File consists of ten letters from Rudyard Kipling to various correspondents, including George Iles, H. C. Spikins, Gerhard Lomer, and Sir Arthur Currie. One letter is from Carrie Kipling to Walter Rowland. Some of the letters to Dr. Lomer (McGill librarian) and Principal Currie are copies.
