Plate XVI, The Pier With Chains

Print of an etching with a pillar and bridge in the foreground, and many arches, bridges and stairs in the background, also includes a large tombstone-like sculpture and a pillar with carved frieze. Chains are attached to many of the architectural features, and there are figures in the fore and background.
