Ledger, 1830s

Consists of a manuscript ledger in limp, hand-cut and sewn leather binding. The records provide evidence as to Curtis's business expenditures (for example, purchase of animal skins presumably for tanning, such as sheepskin and calfskin) and household expenditures. Many entries provide evidence of barter culture. «

Ledger, 1897-1898

Consists of paperbound manuscript ledger book with only 10 pages of entries for the years 1897-1898. Also includes two loose sheets of math problems with the name of Stella Curtis, Clarenceville Model School, laid in at the front. Financial transactions recorded under individual accounts with no additional details.

File consists of manuscript accounting notes, receipts, requests for payment, and other loose notes previously laid in between pages 168 and 169 of Ledger, 1840s (file 3).

"Psychiatry in Medical Education", a paper that was to be published in the McGill Medical Journal but was recalled by Dr. Cameron before publication. Accompanied by a letter from the editor of the journal.

Papers (8) which include: an account of masses to perform and the certificate of baptism of Louis-Charles; a letter from Louis-Charles to Joseph concerning the administration of their seigneurie; and letter to Angélique-Marguerite from her brothers François-Louis, Henri-Nicolas and Louis-Charles, as well as from Louise-Josephte Chartier de Lotbinière.

Correspondence and papers, 1791-1818

Collection of correspondence, general ledger pages, financial receipts, and contractual agreements in relation to McDonald's involvement in the North-West Company and the North American Fur trade.

Included in the file are two letters addressed to a Mr. A. de Lery MacDonald or McDonald of Montreal (1921-1922). These appear to be legal council in reference to the contractual agreements or land holdings of John McDonald of Garth mentioned in the petitions and contracts also contained in the file.

Correspondence, 1840-1848

A mixed collection of personal and business papers. Mostly consisting of incoming and outgoing correspondence, the file also includes the indenture contract of a 'Donald Macdonell and Elizabeth his wife' and a receipt for payment by James Hughes to a Muir.
