Course Materials

This series reflects Dr. Scriver’s career in the latter part of his career as Professor of Biochemistry and Genetics at McGill (2002-2009). The materials in this series consist of textual notes, overhead notes, lab schedules, syllabi, article clippings, readings, photocopies of lecture slides, PowerPoint printouts, and unworked exams. The nature of these records shows that Scriver maintained record of his lecture materials in the latter part of his tenure as professor, meaning that most of these materials span from the late 1990’s to 2013.

Edited interview transcripts.

This series consists of a 248-page spiral-bound volume, with a 4-page Introduction. The volume presents edited transcripts of interviews held with 33 persons by Dr. Helmer and his graduate students Rachel Anderson and Katharine Neufeld. The initial transcripts were reviewed by each interviewee and the edited versions presented in this document were approved by them.

Associations and events

Series consists of files documenting Julian Armstrong's leadership in culinary organizations such as Cuisine Canada and her participation as a judge in cooking contests.

General filing materials

This series consists of general filing materials, the bulk of which is dated 2009-2016, and includes correspondence, Quebec Bar Association Membership, reference letters, royalty statements, and research notes for The Ethical Canary. These files are no longer integrated into particular series due to changes in office management.

Series contains records relating to the Association of Canadian Publishers (ACP), including newsletter "Just the Fax", correspondence, and membership information.

Personal and professional records

This series contains letters, notebooks, teaching materials, and other ephemeral records that Samuel collected during the course of his work and life. It consists of correspondence, including rejection letters (Container 7, Files 17 and 24), published materials that do not reflect a direct research process, and notebooks used by Samuel. It also includes personal materials such as an astrological birth chart (Container 7, File 31), teaching materials (Container 7, Files 20-23). Series also includes notes on other writers’ drafts (Container 7, Files 26 and 28).
