Anecdote on the time E.B.Osler was chairman of the Temiskaming and other railroad in Quebec. Mentions Donald Smith, Angus, Stephen, MacIntyre, Strathcona and McGibbon. Anecdote of Buller's naivety. Osler's opinion on Oliver Lodge and on the communication with the dead. Anecdote on George Ross of Montreal who never understood Osler's pranks. Account of the seventieth birthday gathering. Osler is trying to get MacAlister made a knight in 1919. In Jersey, Osler confides to Malloch that he had only three times been spoken to about his soul. Details about it.
