Article was published by permission of the CBC "Our Special Speaker." Paper was also reprinted as "The Human brain and the learning of languages," Health, May-June 1954: 19, 24, 27, 32. This reprint was printed by permission of Food for Thought, official publication of the Canadian Association for Adult education. It was originally put together by the Citizenship Council from two speeches made by Dr. Penfield, one to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the other to the National Research Council.
