General note

"The Cloisters is an urban rehabilitation and infill project, primarily residential in nature. It is intended, above all, to provide accommodation for academics and visiting scholars. However, the variety of units available, the quality and intimacy of the outdoor spaces and the number of areas reserved for non-residential purposes are expected to broaden its potential and present opportunities for social, educational and even commercial activities in keeping with the spirit of the complex." (source: brochure dated August 1, 1985) It is comprised of 5 buildings, amongst them the Solominium building, at the corner of St. Marc and boul. René Lévesque. Also in this folder, a sketch of a proposal for the Shaughnessy Village Green and of the Shaughnessy Park Development.

General note
