Biographical history

Katherine Dawson Ketchum graduated from McGill in Medicine in 1931 and was the first woman to receive the Holmes Gold Medal in 1931. She married J. Davidson Ketchum, Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto.

Custodial history

Presented to the Osler Library by Mrs. Margaret Catto, daughter of Dr. Katherine Ketchum, February 1999.

Scope and content

The collection contains the Holmes Gold Medal, photographs, certificates, a poem, letters, newspaper clippings and memoirs.
