General note

"The underlying concept of this submission is the successful unification of building, landscape and exhibition...The essential considerations which make a visit to the Pavilion a memorable experience are (1) the sense of arrival and (2) the sense of happening...The first is achieved by a large, well defined space in the epicenter of the building... a clearly articulated interior court... ablaze with color. The second consideration is achieved in two ways, by the movement of people through the exhibits and the actual setting in motion of parts of the exhibit." Source: report included in the drawing file. The project did not receive an award.
