Edited interview transcripts.

This series consists of a 248-page spiral-bound volume, with a 4-page Introduction. The volume presents edited transcripts of interviews held with 33 persons by Dr. Helmer and his graduate students Rachel Anderson and Katharine Neufeld. The initial transcripts were reviewed by each interviewee and the edited versions presented in this document were approved by them.

Posters

The documents in this series include posters for concerts, several of which were given on Wolff’s instruments, as well as drawings and sketches of Wolff organs. These documents are not rolled like the organ plans in Series 1 but rather are spread flat

2008-2009 concert season

Series consists of programs and recordings for eleven events organized by the Schulich School of Music during the 2008-2009 concert season including by the McGill Wind Symphony, the McGill Symphony Orchestra, Opera McGill, the McGill Chamber Singers, McGill Chamber Music Ensembles, the McGill Baroque Orchestra, and the McGill Jazz Orchestra I, and in the context of the McGill Classical Concerto Competition.

Photographs

The photographs in this series cover the several stages of the organ-building process. This series includes both colour and black-and-white images of the construction of a given organ at Wolff’s atelier, the installation of the organ, as well as concerts, dedications, and social events at or around the time of the organ’s installation.

Literary Writings

The Literary Writings series contains correspondence to or from Paul Pedersen and documents/research pertaining to Paul Pedersen’s literary writings. The series is arranged by subject, as indicated.

Organ Plans

This series includes large-scale drawings, preliminary sketches, and general plans of various parts of the organ, such as the buffet, console, keyboards, and windchest. This series is divided into three subseries: organs with opus number; organs without opus number, which includes Wolff’s plans for proposed but ultimately not-constructed organs; and finally plans by other organ builders or Wolff’s drawings based on historical treatises and documents.
