Series D consists of photographs, postcards, slides, x-rays, and other visual material and artifacts such as copper printing plates. The visual material is located within other series, particularly the Correspondence Series A, but described individually here.

Series includes miscellaneous textual records and artefacts belonging to Charles Lewis and Beatrice Maud Young Lewis.

The majority of materials contained in this series is related to organic chemical research during the Second World War. Project RDX is highlighted throughout most of the material. Much of the material is comprised of printed reports (progress and final), printed experiments, discussion papers, holograph notes, and correspondence.

The series consists of 20 maps produced by Meteorological Service, Dominion of Canada, showing only southern Canada. Each map depicts the average temperatures and precipitation for the month across the country. For the year 1886, there are several duplicates of some months. The years of 1895 and 1897 are incomplete.

This series consists of original and photocopied diaries, correspondence, personal documents, and manuscript drafts belonging to Wilder Penfield and spanning his lifetime. The material is largely personal in nature and is the result of his travels and exchanges with family, friends, and colleagues. The series is divided into the following sub-series: diaries, correspondence, personal documents, memorabilia, and manuscript drafts.

Series consists of two subseries, P125/G1 William B. Bean Student Research Award committee documents and P125/G2 Candidates Files containing records created by the committee administering this program. This research studentship has been developed to support research in the broad areas of medical history and medical humanism. The successful applicant may be eligible to present a paper based on his findings at the annual meeting of the American Osler Society. Series includes correspondence, report, copy of last will and testament, application forms, drafts of announces, request of information, research proposals, curriculum vitae and bibliographies, letter of appraisal and notification of award.

The series consists of correspondence to William Bell Dawson from George Mercer Dawson, between 1865 and 1899; John William Dawson, 1865; Margaret Mercer Dawson, 1868, 1871; Department of Interior Canada, 1923; Rankine Dawson, undated; one receipt of a 14-month subscription to Leisure House; Psalm of the Honest Investor; three photographs of Florence Jane Elliott Dawson and William Bell Dawson; seven photocopies of printed lectures on evolution; two of his daily journals, 1907 and 1909; and his letters written to the Redpath Museum, 1921.

These papers concern two aspects of Sprenger's career: his school and college record, and his death and subsequent memorials. Sprenger's school records comprise reports from his school in England, 1918, and from Rothesay Collegiate School, Saint John, 1921-1926, together with a copy of the R.C.S. magazine recording his graduation, 1927, and a letter to his father, 1926. Two photographs of the Rothesay Football team, 1924, 1926, show Sprenger as captain. His McGill years are documented by matriculation, 1927, and graduation, 1931, certificates, convocation programmes, 1931 and 1934 and an official transcript of marks, 1933. His sports prowess is reflected by the programme of a Quebec Swimming Association competition organized by Sprenger in 1936 and by seven photographs of athletic and swimming teams in which Sprenger participated while at McGill. Various sports certificates, and Sprenger's amateur pilot's licence, 1939, also survive. His death in action is recorded by about eight letters of condolence to his parents from Air Force officers and chaplain, as well as his flying mates. They enclose Sprenger's 'Wings' and photographs of him and of his grave. Printed tributes to Sprenger from newspapers, and the house magazines of Canadian Industries, Ltd and of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association are supplemented by other periodical articles on the R.C.A.F. and the Battle of Britain.
