Crested Partridge (Rollulus rouloul)

Mounted painting of a dark bird with round, green tail and brown wings and a fluffy red head crest. The white patch on the crown is not shown. Depicted in full background with foliage in left foreground, flat beige plains with three more birds, and trees and buildings in the far right background. Inscription at bottom right of painting reads, "Green wood quail [male glyph] (Rollulus roulroul)."

Crocodilus palustris

Painting showing a side view of speckled marsh crocodile in light green, grey, and brown; slight grey shadow underneath. Features additional notes in Gwillim's hand regarding crocodile's size and where it was found: on the drawing in pencil, a small number "51," "10 feet [unclear]," and "A [unclear] aligator taken from the ditch at Vellore." Other pencil inscriptions on the mat read, "Crocodilus palustris" (at side) and "Crocodilus palustris / A aligator taken from the ditch at _ ?" (at bottom). The "10 feet" on the drawing has been re-written underneath.

Desert wheatear (Oenanthe deserti)

Painting of a brown female bird with a light eye mark and belly, darker back and wings, which also have some light markings. Standing on beige ground with stalk of wheat that extends past the dimensions of the background. Inscription pencilled in upper right of painting reads, "Stone-Chat sp.? Whin [ditto] Sp?"
