Small square paper pasted to larger page with inscription that reads, "Watercolour Paintings of the Birds of India by Lady Elizabeth Gwillim Madras, 1801–1808 – ? (Lady G. died 1807) (Life-size – drawings) In a portfolio with a few of her paintings of flowers. See, also, larger portfolio, for larger paintings of birds." Includes some other inscriptions on the page.
Other inscriptions: in ink above the pasted square paper: "Lady Gwillim’s drawings now arranged as follows: Flowers – the present volume, Fishes – in hf. red morocco case [?], Birds – in 2 portfolios (“imperial” and “elephant”) W.J.H. Craddock Jan. 6, 1925." In pencil to the right of that another inscription reads, "Bird drawings transferred to portfolio in hf. green mor – (distinct from the “elephant” portfolio)."
