Includes letter from Osler to Wendell [née Greenough], in which he expresses his sympathy upon the death of her sister. He sends a small volume that will recall pleasant memories of Tadoussac.
Letter to Marian Francis from William Osler, Tadoussac, Quebec, Canada. Osler reports that there is little to do in Tadoussac but rest, eat, and sleep. He plans to take a fishing trip to the Saguenay with Robert Shepherd. He visited with Mrs. Ogilvie, the Urquharts, Rev. Higginson, and met an American girl, Miss Greenough [See CUS417/73.19]. He has been collecting specimens for his microscope.

He informs Greenough of his resent appointment as Attending Physician to the Montreal General Hospital, which delayed his trip to England. He writes of his working holiday in London and his visit with family in Cornwall. Includes handwritten draft of p. 169 of volume I of Cushing's biography of Osler.
Osler reports on the meeting of the New York Pathological Society. He mentions Dr. Flint and Dr. Dalton in connection with the meeting. He went to see Edwin Booth play Hamlet. He is uncertain about going to Boston. He spent the afternoon with Professor Arnold, professor of Physiology at the College of Physicians. Incl. ms. notes by both Cushing and Julia Shepley.

Letter to Henry Vining Ogden from William Osler, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Osler was sorry that Ogden did not make it to the Festival [the McGill Semi Centennial?]. He sends letters of introduction to Drs. Dorland and Stark, both McGill men in Milwaukee, for Ogden. He encourages Ogden to move to Toronto and offers to give him good introductions there. He relates news of Marian Francis, Mr. Cantlie, Dr. Buller, and Dr. Rogers. Incl. ms. notes.
Letter to Edward A. Sharpey Schäfer from William Osler, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Osler has sent Schäfer a barrel of apples. He hopes Schäfer will join the B.A.A.S. excursion next August and will agree to stay with Osler. He will likely be in Europe next summer.
