Mounted painting of a brown and white eagle actively crouched on a rocky cliff, overlooking water and a distant background with very small pagoda, copse of palms, and ship in water. Inscriptions below the painting read, "Bonelli's eagle (intermediate plumage) Hieraaetus fasciatus" at bottom center, and then slightly to right of that, "? Hieraaetus fasciatus fasciatus Bonelli's eagle (intermediate plumage) (191 – K.S.)."

This item is a student sketchbook owned by J.H. Atkinson with the label "Dr. N.D. Gunn's Histological sketching book." Contains approximately 75 microanatomy sketches, mostly in colour. Has a loop for a pen or pencil attached to top of back cover.
