Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus)

Painting in mat frame of a small brown bird with long, thin beak, neck and back covered in brown and white speckled feathers, white underbelly and grey legs. Rocky piles at both the foreground and background, plain ground otherwise. Inscription at bottom left reads, "Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus)."
