The Elizabeth Shapiro fonds consists of correspondence, diaries, course notes and personal papers created and accumulated between 1925 and 2003. The correspondence between Shapiro and her mother detail her time as a student at McGill University between 1938 and 1941. The accession also includes course materials related to Shapiro’s studies in biology and classics, as well as selected materials from her childhood.

The fonds comprises of records generated by John Herd Thompson during his years as a Professor at McGill University in the History Department. It consists mainly of correspondence with students and other professors, departmental memoranda, notes, committee minutes and reports.

Martin's papers consist of her diaries, written from 1924 to 1925 and from 1939 until her death, an address book, and a notebook recording donations made by her between 1973 and 1985. Her diaries document mainly her leisure activities, the many churches she attended, and her travels, but also refer to major world political events, the activities of the Royal Family, and anecdotes concerning her work. Inserted in the diaries are photographs of Martin and her friends, postage stamps, pamphlets, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia.

The fonds documents Sharon Thesen’s personal and professional life as a poet, editor, and professor from 1961 to 1989. All records in the fonds were collected by Thesen herself, and are primarily composed of correspondence, journals, and creative work. Most of the creative work is composed of drafts and edited versions of Thesen’s own poetry, essays, and articles, but also includes work sent to her for review. While most of the records are textual, there are a small number of pictures and postcards that were sent to and taken by Thesen, and are mostly of a personal nature. Notably, a large section of the fonds is made up of letters that include correspondence between other published and acclaimed authors such as Michael Ondaatje, Christopher Dewdney, Lola Lemire Tostevin, Ken Norris, Judith Fitzgerald, Phyllis Webb, Gerald Burns, and others. Lastly, the fonds also includes Thesen’s journals from the mid-60s to the mid-80s which contain her daily activities, her personal thoughts, as well as some of her creative work.
The fonds is arranged into three different series, Chronological Files, Journals, and Personal & Professional Records, as per the internal organization of the records. The main forms of these records are textual records, but also include graphic/photographic materials and mixed media. The records are arranged chronologically and intellectually within the series.

The fonds consists of textual documents, a degree and a photograph relevant to the educational history of the Liebich family. The scope predominantly covers the period from 1960 to 1979, and includes Dr. Wilder Penfield's The Torch, a Masters of Social Work thesis, MNI choir music, MNI administrative records, student essays in Political Science and related course notes, and personal correspondence.

This fonds is divided into two series. The first series contains the personal papers and administrative records of Irene Liebich. The second series comprises the student papers and course work of Flora Liebich, along with personal correspondence and notes on poetry.

The George Johnston fonds consists mainly of his lecture notes for his courses in New Testament and Laity courses given at the United Theological College (1969-1983), notes for the Bruce lectures (1943), drafts and clippings of his published articles. Lecture notes on various topics on church, church society and church union are also part of the fonds.

Percy Corbett’s fonds reflects his expertise in Roman and international law. The fonds mostly consists of lecture notes written by him for his courses on Roman and international law. Also part of the collection are two bound notebooks on constitutional history, political theory and international law from his student days in Oxford (1919-1924), a few manuscript and typescript essays on Roman law, notes on Canadian-American relations (1942), and notes on international law (1949). Included is a diary (1916), correspondence (including correspondence to the Wilder Penfield and his wife Helen Katherine Kermott Penfield (1944-1959 ), reference letters (1922-1983), articles and newspaper clippings (1920-1989). Cuurriculum vitae and hand-written record about Corbett’s life, wills, addresses, draft of biography of Percy Corbett written by his son David, reviews of P. E. Corbett’s work, and book reviews of Percy Corbett are part of the fonds.
