Collection contains two financial documents related to McGill College. The first is a memorandum between the College and its creditors in which the College agrees to pay out dividends and pay in installments towards the balance of the College's debt. It is signed by the individual creditors as well as by the principal of McGill College, Edmund A. Meredith. The memorandum contains a list of creditors of McGill College with their names and occupations listed, including William Lyman, druggist, Robert Abraham, printer, John Keller, merchant, and many others. A note dated 24 March 1847 with a response from representatives of the creditors is pasted on. The second document is a ledger sheet dated from 1844 to 1847 with the caption: "The Directors of McGill College to Joseph Hitchens."
The fonds of the McGill Dames Society consists of correspondence, notes, newsletters, a cookbook, minutes and agendas of meetings.

McGill Group in Medical Genetics Oral Histories Collection
The McGill Group in Medical Genetics Oral Histories Collection documents the history of the McGill Group in Medical Genetics, active 1972 to 2009, through fourteen oral histories with the group's members. The Collection contains transcripts in English and in French translation of oral history interviews conducted with the members of the McGill Group in Medical Genetics between 2009 and 2011. The oral history interviews were held in the course of a larger project conducted by a group of researchers at McGill's School of Social Studies of Medicine to document the history of the group and its role in the development of the field of medical genetics in Canada more broadly. These researchers included Christopher Canning, Andrea Tone, George Weisz, and Alberto Cambrosio. The project received guidance from David Rosenblatt and funding from the Canada Research Chair Program in the Social History of Medicine. The fourteen interviews document the members' individual biographies and careers, as well as the history and development of the McGill Group in Medical Genetics during a transformative period in the field of medical genetics. The interviews are available as transcripts, created by Christopher Canning. French translations of the transcripts were also created by McGIll's Translation Services and are also made available. The fonds consists of the records of the McGill Library and Information Studies Student Association and reflects their activities on behalf of McGill Library and Information Studies students to coordinate social and professional activities, and to ensure representation of student interests in the school, in the university, and in the library and information profession. It is comprised of presidential files and correspondence (1990-1998); executive members files (1990-1992); minutes, including internal and external meetings (1986-2002); financial and legal records (1989-1998); administrative files (1989-2001); and records documenting social events (1990-1995).

This collection consists of the seven original volumes of the minute books and two reels of microfilm of the records of the McGill Physical Society, 1897-1959. The minutes give brief summaries of addresses and demonstrations given at meetings. Of particular interest are the passages relating to experiments of Rutherford and Soddy.

McGill Quebec Public Interest Research Group Fonds
This fonds reflects the activist activities of QPIRG McGill, chiefly on the McGill campus and the Montreal area, through Board of Directors minutes, as well as pamphlets, publications such as a student activist manual and audio visual materials, relating to working groups, projects and workshops concerned with issues such as the environment and empowerment. Minutes of the Interim Joint Board of PIRG-Quebec and records of joint retreat training activities reflect the interaction of QPIRG McGill with university PIRGS in the Montreal area.
