The pressure of his publishers forced him to work for the last six months on the revision of his text-book. He is mentally used up, and would like to have the winter to prepare his lectures. He had arranged the programme with Stokes : 1. Six lectures on the evolution of modern medicine 2. A general address on "A Way of Life" to the student body. 3. A couple of bibliographical lectures on subjects in which he is interested. Hopes to see him this evening at the Royal Society.
