File consists of four documents including the draft of an address to Sir James Craig, English and French versions, from the inhabitants of Terrebonne. An autograph signed letter acknowledges receipt of the address from the inhabitants of Terrebonne and encloses a reply.

File consists of several items assembled by L. R. Masson, including the 1816 publication "Lord Selkirk, and the North-West Passage" (pages 129-172) from the Quartlery Review and nine handwritten pages on the same topic, including extracts from the article published in the Quarterly Review, "Lord Selkirk and the North-West Company."

File include two items: a letter from William McGillivray to Jacob Oldham concerning trade between Lower Canada and Bermuda and subpoena for Joseph Briere to appear in a cause in which one of the requestors is William McGillivray.

File contains to letters from Henry McKenzie to Jacob Oldham concerning the petition of pro-Union supporters being prepared to be taken by James Stuart to present to the British Parliament. The December 4th letter contains an unsigned draft of a petition (not in Mackenzie's hand)

File contains a letter from Helen McKenzie to Henry McKenzie. In it, she hopes that McKenzie will make a good clerk of her son.

File includes four kept copies of letters to an unknown family member, Major Plenderleath, Mrs. Plenderleath (Simon McTavish's widow), and to their agent. Mr. Bulley. The letters concern the sale of the Terrebonne seigneury, which occurred on December 17, 1832.

File contains court documents relating to the vacant estate of the late Simon McTavish (File 1).

File contains three documents relating to the legacy of Simon McTavish, including: a memorial of Simon McTavish addressed to the Lieut. Gov. of Lower Canada (Robert Shore Milnes); the Last Will and Testament of Simon McTavish (copy produced on or after 1807); and a document containing five points respecting the Last Will and Testament of the late Simon McTavish submitted to the opinion of counsel (the document is a copy prepared by John Fraser).

File includes two letters addressed to Henry McKenzie from D. Ogden. The first letter refers to a letter on the subject of the Frobisher Estate and says that McKenzie may forward it to Ben Frobisher. In the second letter, Ogden gives his opinion on the matter of McKenzie's purchase of McKay's house in Terrebonne.
