Wipple Portrait Presentation Dinner held in the Grand Ballroom, Hotel Plaza, New York City, September 22, 1952, and in P & S Quarterly, Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Winter 1971, XVI (1): 11-15.;From time to time, reminiscences about our 'past greats' bring to mind some golden moments which bear repeating. This tribute to Alan Wipple delivered on the occasion of the presentation of his portrait to the Presbyterian Hospital, September 22, 1952, is one of those memorable events. The dinner was held at the Hotel Plaza, and the 217 men and women who served on the house staff of PH under Dr.;Whipple made the gift. The presentation of the portrait to Charles P. Cooper, President of the Presbyterian Hospital, was made by Henry F. Cooper, fac.
