General note

Note on the back of the photo reads: "Admiral Williams S. Sims, U.S.N., Retired, visited Montreal on Armistice Day, and was greeted in military manner. The students of McGill University presented a great demonstration, and pulled an open carriage, bearing the Admiral and his party, through the University grounds. Following the student demonstration, the degree of doctor of laws was bestowed upon him. Admiral Sims is shown here, with Sir Arthur Currie, at the right."
