General note

John Schreiber's expertise in building landscape over structure was called into play by Central Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) when the federal housing agency prepared guidelines for roof gardens in residential settings. The resulting publication Roof Deck Design Guidelines / Toit-Terrasses: lignes directrices de conception is still a widely cited industry standard.
