Exterior view photograph. Tunisia Pavilion exterior (lot C-468). The single storey Tunisia Pavilion was designed with traditional Tunisian architecture in mind. The blank, white facade was intricately lined with blue tiles at its base. The entire pavilion was surrounded by a moat, reflective of the country's Mediterranean setting. The pavilion consisted of exhibition areas and a restaurant arranged around a central patio. A skydome located over the patio brought light into the building's core. Craftsmen could be found through the exhibition beating copper or making carpets by hand. The 100 seat restaurant served traditional Tunisian cuisine. Rectangular volume. Structural steel with wood stud framing and stucco on metal lath. (S: 81' x 129' --- A: 14,700 sq. ft. --- H: 17')
