Inscription (from verso; translation): No. 2. A branch of tomatoes or love-apples, natural size. / a small hand of cooking bananas, with its flower, and a ripe cooking banana, cut. 2/3 natural size, made by Rabié 1768 / no. 7 / a small hand or bunch of cooking bananas, with its flower, 2/3 natural size, a ripe cooking banana, cut, 1768. This fruit is eaten ripe, raw, or grilled, or baked in the oven, but it does not replace bread, as the banana does. The cooking banana is a type of banana plant. Il grows slightly less tall and its leaves are less long, it is likely that the leaves of the fig tree used by our first parents to hide their nudity, according to scripture, was the cooking banana, given the size of its leaves. / A branch of tomato, with its leaf, it is the same as that in Europe.
