"Architectural Drawings, 1910, 17 drawings." The design for a branch of the Bank of Toronto located at the corner of Guy and St. Catherine Streets in Montreal and for a house in Westmount for Charles A. Smart are documented in the archive.

General note

George Allen Ross (1879-1946) was born in Montreal and studied architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Ross received additional training at the offices of Parker and Thomas in Boston and at the firm of Carrère and Hastings in New York. Upon his return to Montreal Ross formed a partnership with the Montreal architect David Huron MacFarlane (1875-1950). Ross and MacFarlane's partnership lasted until MacFarlane's retirement in 1913 at which time Robert Henry MacDonald (1875-1942) formed a partnership with Ross.

George Allen Ross (1879-1946) est né à Montréal et a étudié l'architecture au Massachusetts Institute of Technology et à l'École des Beaux-Arts de Paris. Ross a reçu une formation supplémentaire au cabinet de Parker et Thomas à Boston ainsi qu'au cabinet de Carrère et Hastings à New York. De retour à Montréal, Ross s'est associé à l'architecte montréalais David Huron MacFarlane (1875-1950). L'association de Ross et MacFarlane s'est maintenue jusqu'à la retraite de MacFarlane en 1913; Robert Henry MacDonald (1875-1942) s'est alors associé à Ross.
