General note

In 1909, Nobbs was commissioned to build the Power House for McGill to provide heat and electricity to many of the campus buildings. It was located on Carleton. (Dr. Penfield) The facilities had previously been housed in the Macdonald Engineering Building that was destroyed by fire in 1907. In 1963 a new power plant was built on the same site.
