History

Leonard Pinsky was a Canadian medical geneticist and the first chair of the Department of Human Genetics, created within the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University in 1994. He directed both the Centre for Human Genetics (1979-1993) and the McGill Department of Human Genetics (1993-1999). Pinsky was recruited to the McGill Group in Medical Genetics in 1981 as its co-Director with Charles Scriver.
