Biographical history
Professor Milton Smith Osborne was born in Ohio and earned his B. Arch. in 1922 at Ohio State University. He spent the years 1929 to 1946 as head of the department of architecture at the University of Manitoba and was awarded an honorary degree by that institution in 1959; he also was made an honorary life member of the Manitoba Association of Architects. The Brooklyn Museum exhibited his architectural pencil drawings in 1930. His best known work is The Architectural Heritage of Manitoba, published in 1939.
