Part of Masson Collection
File includes 2 letters addressed to Jacob Oldham and Messrs. Mackenzie, Oldham & Co. from Pangman at his manor Grace Hall in Mascouche. In the letter dated 1804, Pangman orders goods from Oldham (green rave, bread and veal) and asks to have the amount put on his account. In the second letter, he denies accusations of "dispersions" and disrespects made by an unidentified individual as reported to him in a letter from Mackenzie, Oldham & Co. and briefly mentions losing an amount of money and wanting to deliberate on whether to pay another sum.
