Biographical history
Edward Vennor was a Montreal merchant born in approximately 1807. He married Harriet Ann Hall on 23 September 1834. They had at least four children together: Benjamin William, Elizabeth, Charlotte Ellen (sometimes Charlotte Anne), and Edward. He died on 17 November 1874.

Letter from Edward Vennor to Hugh McConvill, offering him the opportunity to purchase the remaining 1/3 of the lot that he doesn't yet own. A copy of a letter from Edward Vennor to Rev. W. Brethoun in included on the verso, asking him to speak to the men squatting on the Hall land about purchasing it. Vennor identifies the men as "Anderson, or Henderson, Peter Wetch, James McCracken, Samuel Dell."
