Letter from E. D. Worthington, Sherbrooke to Lt. Col. Fletcher, Montreal. It describes the behaviour of the 53rd and 54th Battalions on their return from Montreal. E.D. Vi. reports that he heard Major Beaudry's name mentioned in a song in connection with a famed 'Sour Apple Tree', He noticed no orange emblems. No shots were fired from the train but shots and stones were thrown at them. Reference to Lt. Col. Ibbotson, and Lord Alymer. On the top of the first sheet the words "Re Orange Riot" have been written in red. Handwritten.
