Sub-series A-3 contains experiment notebooks from the Montreal Neurological Institute, concerning experiments on brain swelling as a result of head injury and neurosurgery. Brain slices were examined to determine the effect of aerobic and anaerobic metabolism of electrolytes, pH, oxygen tension, narcotics and convulsants. Of special relevance is the experiment measuring the acetylcholine (Ach) content of cat and rat brains. This sub-series is comprised of 14 files (files nos. 34 to 47), which are arranged chronologically.

Sub-series D-1 contains correspondence of Dr. Elliott concerning topics of various natures. This sub-series includes research notes, newspaper clippings, manuscripts, and typescripts of speeches. This sub-series is comprised of 48 files (nos. 76 to 133), which are arranged alphabetically.

The sub-series of six files contains biographical informations pertaining to Arthur Vineberg's career, family and honours that he received through his career. Includes curriculum vitaes, resume for Who's Who publications, a speech, a program, a business card, certificates and one photograph.

File includes records on experimental surgeries done, patients files and questionnaires sent to patients.

This sub-series consists of illustrations and photographs which were included as part of a number of Dr. Penfield's published writings. Each of the series' file numbers (ex. W/PV XX) correspond to the published writing file in which the images were used (ex. W/P XX).

Sub-series consists of eight files pertaining to the bonds and stocks of Dr. Vineberg. Files on the ownings of Vineberg and with several companies ou courtiers.Also there is a file on a project of exploiting uranium mining properties in the vicinity of Lake Little Manicouagan in the North of Quebec Province. The sub-series is divided in two subsub-series on the legal procedures taken by Vineberg against Samuel Novick Inc., a truck company, after an accident in New York City which caused physical diseases to himself and his wife and on his insurances claims and couverture.
