A sheet of two "pantins": Polichinelle and a female character in short skirt. Fabrique d'estampes de Gangel et P. Didion, à Metz. Uncut. [No.] 84.

Includes two sheets with pantins:

1. A French mid-eighteenth century paper "pantin", or jumping-jack, of a male dancer. Uncut, hand-coloured engraving, 8 ½ inches across, 11 ½ inches high.
2. Another o f the same type, of Pierrot. 9 ½ x 12 ½ inches.

Series consists of pantins, paper puppets which can be cut out from printed paper sheets and assembled. Includes nine sheets of pantins. Files are described individually.

Contains coloured sheet of animated figures: "Un tour à la fête." Imagerie Pellerin, Epinal, no. 475. Tableaux animés. Grands construction. 15 x 19 inches.
