This series contains varied materials created or kept by Helen Kermott Penfield. The series consists of letters, almost exclusively from Wilder, personal documents, diaries, and memorabilia, including an extensive family chronicle composed by Helen. The materials reflect above all Helen’s relationship with Wilder, but give a glimpse of her childhood and education, service in the war, life in England, social activities in Montreal, and travels with Wilder. This series is divided into four sub-series: diaries, correspondence, personal papers, and memorabilia.

The first scrapbook contains mostly British Medical Journal clippings (1942-1954). The other two scrapbooks document C. P. Martin’s personal family life (including family trees depicting five generations, leisurely interests etc.) as well as his professional life, including many newspaper clippings about McGill University and faculty.

Series consists of “Medical Faculty McGill College Dissecting Room Record”, 1883-1891, provides cadaver details such as name/date received/received from/sex/religion/cause of death/burial location/burial date/age. Notes at the back show annual receipts and expenditures from 1884-1890.
