If this were to happen it would seriously jeopardize Osler's hopes of making eye dissection his specialty.

He suggests that Shepherd take a course on the Microscope with Klein at the Brown Institute. Dr. Campbell has resigned as the chair of Surgery at McGill, but remains as Dean of the Faculty. Fenwick has succeeded Campbell, and Roddick has been appointed to Chemical Surgery.
