Architectural drawings and paper files are related to a proposal by Descon / Concordia in joint venture with Philip David Bobrow for "Operation Breakthrough" a program developed through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Washington, D.C. in 1970. "Operation Breakthrough" was a broad residential development program designed to resolve a multitude of problems in order to make available quality housing in large quantities by utilizing modern design and technology, and contemporary approaches to financing, marketing, land use and management. Other architectural drawings and a model of the Belec Residence, 1 Grove Park, Westmount QC, 1997-1998, are included. The fonds also contains 12 bound volumes of studies, programs, reports related to the Institution à sécurité maximale 2, Mirabel, QC, 1977,1979.

This fonds contains records and supplementary material covering all three major aspects of the life of John Wilson McConnell: business and finance, social and philanthropic commitments, and family life. The records covering these subjects stem mainly from ca1898 to the time of McConnell’s death in 1963. Additional financial records exist past this date into the early 1970s due to the trusts administered by McConnell’s legacies. The nature of the records is reflected in the following series: 1) Correspondence; 2) Scrapbooks, Journals and Address books; 3) Personal and Family records; 4) Philanthropy; 5) High society; and 6) Business Commitments. Fonds shows Alphonse Allard’s activities as a medical student at McGill University from 1863 to 1865. It contains seven admission cards autographed by the teachers and also a certificate from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Lower Canada
The collection contains three volumes of manuscripts from an anonymous student of the course of lectures on midwifery by Dr. Thomas Young, dating from 1783. The first volume has three inserts: two pencil portraits of unidentified men and an envelope on which is written a note to Dr. J.A.S. Brunelle. The collection is divided in three file folders.

The collection contains a notebook, a scrapbook and some correspondence of Richard Robert Madden. The notebook includes drafts of his poems in his writing, ca 1830; notes by T.M. Madden pertaining to his tutors and schoolfellows at Radcliffe, 1854; and medical lectures at Trinity College, Dublin, 1855. The scrapbook includes clippings of controversies, enquiries and letters relating to slave trade, ca 1840.
Collection shows Dr. J.C. Simpson's interest in Charles Robert Darwin (1809-1882). His collection of Darwiniana contains newspaper clippings, dinner programs and menus, programs of commemoration of the Darwin Centenary in England, correspondence and photographs.
