Hydro Québec présente le Festival Montréal en Lumière, 8e édition du 22 février au 4 mars 2007.

"On Thursday, September 21, Alain Pignard, executive chef, Jean-Phillipe Latta, manager and senoir maître, and their brigades, will host an exceptional wine-maker dinner featuring: Marcelo Papa chief oenologist of the Casillero del Diablo of Concha y Toro, and Alain Reix, internationally renowned chef of the celebrated Jules Verne restaurant at the Eiffel Tower."

The fonds documents John Mappin’s occupation as an independent antiquarian book seller, his personal interest in the history of print and Canadian politics, and his personal achievements as an author. The wide variety of subject files found in this collection are almost entirely North American based and span from 1733-2004. These records reflect Mappin’s particular focus on Canadian authors and Canadiana in general.

"On the streets of Montreal I will look for new dinner companions. I will approach strangers who will pique my interest and persuade them to invite me home. I will then bring over my pots and pans and bags of groceries and cook them a meal, which I will share with them. Each time I will bring along a guest of my choice and ask my host to do the same. I will organize such a dinner every Sunday for an entire year, starting June 27, 2004."

The fonds consists of manuscripts and drafts of literary compositions and other working documents, as well as professional and personal correspondence.
