Forest wagtail (Dendronanthus indicus)

Painting of a small bird with brown along the back of head, back, and tail. Chest, belly, and wings are striped black and white. Bird is standing on a rock in the water. On the far shore, there are palm trees, mountains, a temple, and people walking and herding cows. Inscription at bottom centre reads, "Forest wagtail (Limonidromus indicus)," with heavily pencilled "Motacilla" in lower right corner.

Very lightly sketched and painted flower, some leaves painted light grey or green, others just outlined in pencil. Stem surrounded with curling, loose leaves. Inscription at the bottom centre of the page reads, "Glaucium luteum." Another at the lower left of the drawing reads, "Chelidonium Glaucium Yellow-horned poppy."
