Dr. and Mrs. Mosher and several of the Harvard men lunched at the Oslers'. Burley Hospital was closed and Archie Malloch will likely be sent to Italy with a Red Cross Hospital. Benning, the Oslers' former chauffeur, is in Hospital in Birmingham and their new chauffeur has been summoned to the Army Service Corps.

Osler was in London when they arrived, but returned later to meet Revere at the station. Miss Campbell from Cliveden, Campbell Gwyn, Archie Malloch, and Hilda Wright all arrived at the Oslers' home at the same moment. She writes of the war, of Archie Malloch, Michael Grace, Mrs. Jay Phipps, Nancy Astor, and the Belgian refugees in Oxford.

She does not understand how Osler is not worn out, particularly as a result of the constant stream of visitors and advice seekers in their home. Dr. Spalding, a female doctor from Boston, came to visit. Lady Osler has written to Cushing asking him about the Harvard day at Oxford. She writes of the war and of the renovations on her home to repair the fire damage. She mentions Ottilie, Hilda Palmer, Jean, Bob, Marion and the Emmons. Archie Malloch cannot leave the country and will likely join the Canadian Army Medical Corps.

Campbell Howard has been relieved and will soon return home to Montreal. Osler has a hectic consultation schedule. They have had good news of Revere. Jack Osler will go to Egypt.

Campbell and Ottilie sail back to Quebec with 40 disabled military men. Ramsay Wright got an appointment in Munitions in Newcastle. Lady Osler thanks Chapin for helping Maude Abbott and comments on Abbott's loyal soul.

She has dismissed her chauffeur Peasely, and hopes that Benning will return. She writes of her work with Belgian refugees.

Joan MacKenzie will stay at Oxford until May and continue to work for Osler. She writes of Jean, Phoebe, and Revere, who will soon leave for training in Exeter. Katherine McLennan continues to have difficulty getting papers for France.

They did not hear of Dr. Cheever or Dr. Bremer passing through. Campbell Gwyn, Allan Meredith, Ralph, Hugh and Jack Osler are all at the Front. Nancy Astor has given birth to a son, Joan MacKenzie will stay at Oxford until May, and Adèle is worn out from her hospital work.
