Personal correspondence from Pyper to friends and family during residencies at Trent University, Champlain College and working and living in Toronto. Also included are contracts and financial statements from the early days of Pyper’s career as a writer.

The Personal papers series documents Madeleine Parent's family life, relationships she built as a labour organizer and activist, and writings. Although this series documents aspects of Parent's personal life, it includes substantial documentation on Parent's activist work and research interests.
Sub-series A1 (Education and awards) documents Parent's early and post-secondary education, awards, and honorary degrees from various Canadian institutions. The Family papers sub-series (A2) contains documents related to both her father's and mother's families and from both her marriages. Also included are materials related to the passing of her second husband, Robert Kent Rowley, keepsakes, and photographs of family and friends.
Sub-series A3 (Agenda and notes) consists of calendars and notebooks of Parent's appointments and affiliations with people, organizations, and unions, including the Canadian Textile Council and Canadian Textile and Chemical Union. Also included are notes that Parent kept on various subjects for different purposes. The notes relate to materials found in the Research, writings, and interviews sub-series (A4), which documents Parent's speeches and writings and contains research files on various topics. Also included are transcripts, notes, and agreements related to interviews Parent gave.
The final sub-series, entitled Personal correspondence (A5), contains correspondence and greeting cards, the bulk of which is from the 1990s to the early 2000s. However, there is also some correspondence from the 1950s to the 1980s.

This series is comprised of autobiographical manuscripts, personal correspondence, letters to the editor, notes and photographs, as well as various clippings, and pamphlets reflecting Edwards' interest in politics and social issues (1965-1998 Box 6 files 104-110 - Box 7 file 1). In addition there is a large compilation of personal research on the Logan family and the Logan land holdings in 19th century Quebec and Ontario (1998-2000, Box 2). Included in the Logan papers are records of land cessions/transfers and Montreal notaries (Box 2 files 9, 13, 16, 17) as well as genealogical records (throughout Box 2) and drafts of biographical manuscripts on members of the Logan family (Box 2 file 18).

The autobiographical manuscripts concentrate on Edwards' life and political experiences from 1929-1949, his involvement with sports prior to 1945, and the beginning of his research interests in the Logan family (Box 6,m file 110). The correspondence includes drafts and final versions of letters written to Dean Hall of the Education Faculty regarding Edwards' position at McGill (1961-1967 Box 6 files 104, 105) and a 1998 letter to his grandson, Joe Friesen (Box 6 file 110) describing the circumstances surrounding the writing of four of Edwards' papers (his first published, a Presidential address to the Comparative and International Education Society, and two others - no titles provided). Other letters include a letter of support to Audrey McLaughlin, dated 1993, and two letters to Charles Taylor expressing his desire for the acceptance of the Meech Lake Accord (1990), and his agreement with Taylor's support for Canada's adoption of asymmetrical federalism (1992) (all Box 6, file 107). Letters to the editor date from 1989-1998 (Box 6 file 107), are mostly addressed to the Montreal Gazette, and address a variety of topics mainly in Quebec politics, including support of the Meech Lake proposal and condemnation of Quebec Bill 101.

Among the personal notes is a draft "Manitoba, Meech Lake and Bill 178" (Box 6 file 107) as well as lengthy comments on Quebec Bills 62 and 22, and an item titled "Government and Politics" (Box 6 file 106). Notes on Communism in the Soviet Union (ca. 1960) are in Box 7 (File 1). Many individuals of interest to Edwards are listed in Box 1, which holds a binder containing nearly 200 biographical clippings.

Photographs include those taken at sites visited during research trips (Box 2 files 4, 10), those taken with family and friends Boxes 3 (file 41, 5 (file 77) and 6 (file 109) and pictures taken of McGill archival photos (Box 6, file 109).

Series consists of manuscripts, typescripts, and correspondence regarding various personal, non-architectural projects undertaken by Nobbs, in particular the design of his deflected northern lighting system for the National Research Council.

The series consists of documents related to Dorothy Duncan’s personal life, including a copy of Dorothy Duncan’s birth certificate, clippings of obituaries from Duncan’s death, and two personal photo albums (1930-1940). The photo albums are a mix of family photos, personal travel photos, and commercial postcards and photos documenting Canada, the United States of America, and various European countries.

Series 1 contains biographical information; photos of Harold Spence-Sales and family-friends at events as well as genealogy projects. Series 1 also holds a plethora of materials about Spence-Sales death as well as legal documentation. Series 1 also contains materials that relate to Harold Spence-Sales personal interests, primarily his art interests. Series 1 is full of handmade drawings ‘paintings, photographs of sculptures, art pieces and exhibits-exhibitions. The series highlights Spence-sales interest in ancient mythology-culture as well as modern art, nature and natural formations. A lot of the photographs in the series focuses on art projects that Harold Spence-Sales created and displayed at his home. Series 1 also contains correspondence between Harold Spence-Sales, his friends, family and colleagues. Series 1 also holds some personal artifacts of Spence-Sales: Professional stamps, personal flag, certificates etc. Series 1 contains, a variety of textual records, photographs, artifacts, DVD’s, VHS-cassette tapes, images and printouts of art.

This series contains documents which are broadly related to Fitzgerald’s personal life. The files include records from her time writer-in-residence at the University of Windsor, grant notifications, academic transcripts, notes on her life, her marriage certificate, rent-related documents, photographs, parking permits, 3 scrapbooks containing publications about Fitzgerald, and 6 cardboard posters of her and her friend’s books. This series is located in Container 4, 5, 10, and 11.

The personal matters/family series is the most varied one, documenting family life through correspondence and photographs and personal life through awards and honours from both Canada and Australia. Also there are records reflecting her interest in cats and the art community, particularly the artist Jacques Deshaies.
