Branch perch and some background very vaguely and lightly sketched out, with much smaller bird drawn on another branch in the bottom right. Inscription below painting include, "Circus cinereus (52)," faintly pencilled in lower left corner, and pencilled in the centre below the painting, "Marsh Harrier (circus aeruginosus)," "circus aeruginosis vel spilunotus [sp?]," "[KS #41] or [44]."
