Abbott is fairly certain that Osler attended the International Congress of Medicine at Philadelphia in 1876. She suggests that Cushing consult the Canada Medical & Surgical Journal, vol. v and the Boston Medical & Surgical Journal, September 14, 1876 for more information. She hopes that nothing she has done in regards to the Osler Bulletin will cast a shadow between herself and Cushing.

Osler appeals to unidentified addressee to vote for him to replace Dr. Drake as Attending Physician to the Montreal General Hospital. He lists his accomplishments and professional posts, as well as his contributions to Scientific and Practical Medicine.
Letter to Henry Vining Ogden from Frank Buller, 694, Dorchester Street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Buller writes of his new home and his new bride. He is worried for Mr. Cantlie, who moved to Chicago. Buller has not heard from Osler since he went to Germany.
Letter to William Osler from Robert Palmer Howard, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Howard writes of Osler's intention to become an Oculist. Mr. Morgan, resident Surgeon at Moorfields, and formerly in charge of the eye-wards at Netley, wrote to Howard informing him that he would like to come to Montreal as an Oculist. If this were to happen it would seriously jeopardize Osler's hopes of making eye dissection his specialty.
Letter to Henry Vining Ogden from Marian Francis, 66, McGill College Avenue, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Francis reports that Osler has just returned from Washington, Philadelphia and New York. While he disliked Washington, he loved Philadelphia. Ogden is sorely missed at McGill. She mentions Mr. Cantlie.

The house at 1351 St. Catherine has been renovated, and Dr. Buller and Mr. Cantlie are there enjoying it alone. She relates news of her children. She and Osler attended Oscar Wilde's lecture. She mentions Drs. Rogers, Roddick, and A.C. Edwards.
